Sorry for not posting lately. Super busy. I just finished my last quarter as a paralegal studies major. I had an awesome internship. Made 3 A’s and 1 B. Looking for my big girl job now so I can stop working in a warehouse.

Also, my lease is up soon and I’m looking for a new apartment.

Also, my dad had a knee replacement surgery. My family lives two hours away from me, but I hear he’s doing really well.

Also, I really fucking hate being lied to. It seems to be happening to me constantly.

Anyway, I will try to post more. Right now I need to go to bed so I can work my shitty warehouse job tomorrow.

I think it is obvious that I try to keep things light around here. My life, my choices right?
I am making an exception to this little rule to ask for some help.
Not for me, but for Mari.
As some or most of you know, Mari is in a wheelchair. Long story short; she got sick a few years ago and remained paralyzed after that. Back then, there was still hope on a chance to walk again, but after 4 years those chances are slim to none.

Back then she saved and bought herself a wheelchair which up to now has done its job.
But because this chair was supposed to be temporary it is not giving her the support she needs, resulting in excruciating back pain and just horrible pains in general after just a few hours in it.

She is an avid photographer, and loves to clean and cook but just can’t. It is awful to see a young otherwise healthy person, not being able to do the things she feels like doing just because her substitute for legs is not right.

There’s this Lamborghini under the wheelchairs that she is saving for. But in Brazil it costs ridiculously much and then some. So the saving is going to take forever.

I don’t know if this is the right medium, but I was wondering if anyone would want to chip in to help her get a new pair of wheels….and really make a difference in an awesome person’s life.

When I started my New Year’s Resolution posts, I didn’t know I’d be too busy to keep up with it. 2011 has kept me extremely busy. 2 jobs (one is an internship), my last quarter of University…basically I have one day a week that I don’t have to do anything.

But I downloaded Tumblr for my Blackberry, so maybe I’ll be more attentive to my blog.

New Year’s Resolution Positive Affirmation for the Day: I can get ready in less than 30 minutes, if need be. And today, need be. haha

5. I can rock a nice outfit when I put forth the effort. (It was Professional Dress Day at school.)

6. I persevere in the face of adversity. (I need to complete an internship as a paralegal in a law firm but I haven’t had any luck finding one. But I keep searching!)

7. I can make scrambled eggs in my sleep.

8. My powers of observation saved someone’s car battery at work today. (I told the guards that someone left their lights on and it just so happened to be someone from my department.)

This is how I feel everyday of school.

I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions because I can’t quite seem to keep them. :)

However, I think I’ll be able to keep this one this year. I resolve to say one positive thing about myself a day. I tend to be very negative and hard on myself, so I think I should try to build myself up this year. Since I forgot to post yesterday, I have two positives to post today.

1. I made awesome grades last quarter (A, A, A, B), and I know I can do the same in my final quarter (which starts tomorrow. *sadddd*).

2. My cleaning habits are drastically different from when I was a teenager. I now have the discipline to keep my room/apartment clean that I lacked when I was younger.
